FULL BIO & EXPERIENCE

EARLY WRITING EXPERIENCE
I am an accomplished editor, content creator and copywriter with published work in digital and print. As a journalist, I produced and reported live local, national, and international news for KPFK radio in L.A. My writing began to be professionally published while I was an undergrad, and upon graduating from Berkeley, I was chosen by Richard Newcombe, founder of the national syndication company, Creators Syndicate, to edit Hillary Clinton's column.
EXPERIENCE IN POLITICS & MOVIE STUDIO/TV
I have also worked in politics and entertainment. As Executive Office staff for the L.A. County Board of Supervisors, I met with Senators, members of Congress, and heads of state from around the world. After politics, I forayed into 20th Century Fox Studios, working in their top television department for four years with the A-list in entertainment and media. Working in high-stakes politics and for a legendary "Big Five" movie studio elevated my craft, while also rewarding me from the hands-on experience of working side by side with renowned captains of the media and politics.
I AM A TOP, FIRST-PAGE GOOGLE RANKED WRITER
Google is the Internet. A Google rank cannot be bought. So, with eight million blog posts per day vying for a first-page rank, it might seem like nabbing a top Google slot without being a global brand is akin to your chances of winning the lottery, but all you need is to hire a writer extraordinaire.
I coined the term "Word Coder" to describe my writing style after I earned a first-page Google rank. In 2013, Google’s algorithm plucked my article from The Cherie Bomb out of a sea of millions of other fashion posts, indexing “Street Style: The Carolyn Bessette Kennedy Look” at #2 in the world—one slot below #1 Vogue—and above #3 Vanity Fair, topping other Madison Avenue media juggernauts Harper’s Bazaar and Elle. If Anna Wintour claims orange is the new black, digital writers have proven that words are the new code. Google' bestows its top slots to content with sophisticated word elegance that demonstrates expertise and original thought—word coding. This is the top-tier, blue-ribbon writing I provide to clients on every project, big or small.
MEDIA ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In 2013, MTV online chose my hip-hop infused article “Round Up Of The Week In Politics” for their nationwide content as Top Story of the Day as a mechanism for politics to resonate with young people.
In 2017, my descriptive storytelling writing was used to create the movie poster theme for the National Geographic documentary LA92, which won an Emmy, and was on the Top 15 Short List for a 2018 Oscar nomination.
CLIENTS
I write for law, real estate and design professionals in L.A., whose clients include LeBron James, Lady Gaga, John Legend, Puffy Combs, Wolfgang Puck, Paul Marciano of Guess, and ultra-luxury real estate developer, Mohamed Hadid (father to supermodels Gigi and Bella), as well as global brands like DuPont.
In addition to building and creating The Cherie Bomb website, and functioning as its editor-in-chief by developing style guides, producing 95% of its content, and editing the work of contributors, I am the lead copywriter for the branding agency, Identity LA/Big City Graphics, whose clients include the Lakers, Dodgers, Jack Daniels, Starbucks, Bacardi, and Ford. My role is to help IDLA foray into the realm of personal branding by providing superior content for their clients' small business websites.
GET IN TOUCH!
After different career paths, the constant has been the joy when I finish a piece of writing. Just like Anthony Michael Hall pats himself on the back for writing the closing essay in the film, The Breakfast Club, I, too, find myself in bliss after completing a master work or pièce de résistance. From these moments, I have created this world that I present to you in the form of my writing portfolio and online magazine. I write for the love of writing: from my formal training beginning at my first journalism class to my discovery of Google’s AI, my writing style—word coding—always attracts the highest of discerning readers and clients.
If it’s good enough for Google's Hummingbird, it’s good enough for you.
